Jazz was a work in progress for years. While a street portrait initially taken on a nice day in New York City, the image took on new meaning as I finished it. If you look at the photo again and imagine the man holding a saxophone or a trumpet or sitting at a piano and looking at sheet music—Jazz is really that possibility. It's immense what this photograph could represent.
