At Some Point: Essay

The process of being patient to find what your work has, and excavating its final form, shouldn't be minimized to a reusing of prior efforts. With waiting, can come an addition, that could even be a subtraction, that significantly elevates what you've made. I know this from personal experience. The contemplation. That fraction of something you once created that has survived your scrutiny is no small thing. Eventual finality can present itself during your internalizing of its motive, its quality. We become more aware of purpose and taste as we continue with our work, as we wait. And yesterday's keeping, or losing that is also a keeping, can be the substance that leads us to our destinies.
